Murty, Guss, Carter, Ramsey, Fullenkamp and Hughes Take Osky Fall Challenge Night Two Victories

It was three weeks since I last attend a race because of a Family Wedding and allowing my parents to take a weekend away to see the fall colors in Northeast Iowa. I made the decision I was going to attend atleast one night of racing at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa for the Musco Lighting Fall Challenge. I did not go on Friday Night so I went on Saturday Night.

Once again the Team 3W Racing team was heading down to race on Saturday Night so instead of me driving myself they offer for me to catch a ride with them down so once again I said yes. I also took the opportunity to visit with some friends that was also racing at the Southern Iowa Speedway because remember I spent 2012-2018, weekly at the 1/2 mile race track.

One Hundred Twenty One Cars signed in for Night Two of the Musco Lighting Fall Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway. 26 Sport Compacts, 26 Hobby Stocks, 24 Sport Mods, 24 Stock Cars, 7 Non-Wing Sprints and 13 A.I.R.S American Iron Racing Series.

First feature of the night was the Non-Wing Sprints saw the initial start of the 10 lap feature called back. Jonathan Hughes jumped out to the race lead and never looked back not even when a caution came out on lap eight was going to deny him the victory. Hughes took the win ahead of Ben Woods, Kelly Graham, Mike Mayberry and Tyler Graves.

Lewie Winkleman grabbed the early lead of the Sport Compacts 10 lap feature event before Chuck Fullenkamp took the top spot away on lap three. Fullenkamp  and the field saw the caution came out on lap five when Clayton Webster lost power in turn two before coming to a stop on the back stretch. Fullenkamp held off Winkleman to take the feature win. Winkleman finished second. Matt Moore came across in third but was disqualified moving Dustin Grout to third. Casey Tucker and Kolby Sabin was fourth and fifth.

In the 15 lap Hobby Stock feature event, Daniel Wauters led the first three laps fending off challenges from Craig Brown before the caution came out when Clint Nelson spun in turn two. Wauters held on to the race lead on the restart before Luke Ramsey worked his way from tenth to take over the race lead on lap seven. The caution came out two laps later when Jesse Williams spun. Ramsey was determined to not be denied but another caution came out on lap 12 for Aaron Martin going slow exiting turn two. Ramsey went on to take the win, Dustin Griffiths finished second, Brown was third, Christian Huffman was fourth and Brad Stephens was fifth.

Curtis VanDerWal wrestled the early lead in the 18 lap Sport Mods feature event but the caution came out on lap two, Brant Murray spun in turn two. The caution came out again on lap three for James Roose in turn three.  VanDerWal held off Cayden Carter and Brayton Carter on the restart but on lap 11, VanDerWal and Cayden Carter got together opening the door for Zack Vanderbeek who took third from Brayton Carter. Vanderbeek took the race lead but that was short lived as the engine decided to let go forcing him to the pits. Cayden Carter took over the race lead and then the final caution came out on lap 15. Cayden Carter led the final three laps to take the win ahead of Curtis VanDerWal was second. Austin Paul came across in third but was disqualified moving up Brayton Carter to third, Tim Plummer came across was also disqualified so with two being disqualified it moved Carter VanDenBerg and Jason Bass to fourth and fifth.

Amerian Iron Racing Series (A.I.R.S) ten lap feature was up next and this feature was wild one. Ray Guss Jr driving a 1976 Nova led from start to finish in a feature that was shorten to six laps after multiple incidents occured on lap 4. On the restart after the first caution on lap four, Curt Slater rolled in turn two forcing another restart. The red flag came out again on the restart when Craig Adams rear end came out launching him into an implement on the exit of turn two, then sent him tumbling also collecting Dan Thompson, Scott Moffitt, Brian Gade and Robin Atkins. Guss led the final laps to take the win ahead of Dennis Etten, Bart Miller, Dan Kessler and Bruce Yoerger.

Final feature of the night was the 18 lap Stock Car feature event but before a lap was completed Tyler Moore came to a stop on the back stretch. Dallon Murty wrestled the race lead from fellow front starter Jeff Wollam. Murty pulled away, Wollam ran second fending off Dustin Griffiths until a caution came out on lap six for Jamie Anderson in turn three and four. Murty pulled away and went on to take the feature win. Griffiths got by Wollam on lap seven, Griffiths finished second. Todd Reitzler got by Wollam on lap 14 to take third. Wollam finished fourth and Cayden Carter was fifth.

Final checkered flag was displayed at 10:59pm by Flagman Doug Haack and after post race tech was completed and getting the car loaded up, we were on the road just after 11:30pm allowing us to arrive back at the shop around 1am.

Griffith, Shryock, Van Horn, Longnecker, Stapleton and Hrabik Win Big at Tiny Lund Memorial

Earlier in the season I had hoped to attend the Midwest Madness Tour race at the Shelby County Speedway but with a 2.5 hour drive one way from Marshalltown, I was not going to make it.

On Friday, I learned my racing friends from the Team 3W Racing team was taking the car to Harlan and race on Saturday Night with Tom Berry Jr behind the wheel once again for Jeff Wollam. I wished them good luck and wish I could go never been there. Then I got a message from the team and asked if I wanted to road trip with them....of course the answer was yes because it meant I didn't have to drive it myself.

Since I was in the car with Mike Duffy, Tyler Wollam and Jeff Wollam.....it meant I learned many stories from their younger days but I had so much fun road tripping with them and would do it again. It felt nice to put the camera and headset aside.....just take a scanner radio and my clipboard to keep notes.

One Hundred and thirty seven cars checked in for night two of the 28th Annual Tiny Lund Memorial at the Shelby County Speedway. 36 Keast Motors IMCA Sport Mods, 25 Wings America IMCA Late Models, 22 IMCA Sport Compacts, 19 Pizza Ranch IMCA Stock Cars, 18 Pitts Chiropractic Modifieds and 17 KNOD Radio IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Tiny Lund Memorial is honor of DeWayne Louis "Tiny" Lund who was a stock car racer from Harlan Iowa. Lund ran several races in NASCAR's top series back then, Grand National Series including winning the 1963 Daytona 500. Lund was not Tiny though as he was 6 foot, 5 inches and weighed about 270 lbs but on August 17th, 1975....it all came to a tragic end. Tiny was racing in Talladega when his car got in a crash with J.D. McDuffie. Lund was trapped in the car and was extricated from his own car by track rescue teams. He died less than 10 minutes after he reached the track infield hopsital with massive chest and internal injuries. His hometown track has honored him and remember him with the Annual Tiny Lund Memorial Race.

First feature of the night was the 15 lap KNOD Radio IMCA Hobby Stocks feature but before a complete lap was scored the caution came out when Troy Mabbitt spun in turn two.  Alec Stapleton took full advantage of starting on the pole when the race got rolling as he grabbed the race lead. Stapleton began to pull away but the caution came out again on lap five. Stapleton got a great restart and went on to take the $828 top prize. Jason Kohl finished second, Chuck Madden Jr was third, Jeff Fink was fourth and Carter Koop was fifth.

The Class Too Tough Too Tame, Pizza Ranch IMCA Stock Cars was up next for their 18 lap feature event. Tom Berry Jr grabbed the early lead from his outside front row starting spot and then the caution came out on lap four when Cade Richards slowed in turn four. Berry got a great restart and led until lap nine when Mike Nichols took the race lead away. Nichols than appeared to get in cruise control but with 5 laps to go, Berry started to reel back in Nichols. Nichols and Berry battled out for the race lead in turn four coming to 2 to go as they were lapping a car, they made contact cutting the right front tire down on Berry's ride. Dusty Van Horn snuck by both of them coming out of four and held on to take the feature and pocketing $1,028. Nichols, Corey Stapleton, Keith Knop and Paul Zimmerman rounded out the top five.

Braxton Wallace led the opening lap of the IMCA Sport Compact 12 lap feature event before the red flag came out. The red flag was for Jeremy Jolley who left a fire trail from turn four to where he came to a stop on the front stretch. Harlan fire got the fire put out and Jolley's night was over. Evan Hrabik took the top spot away on the restart and never looked back. Hrabik took the feature win ahead of Caine Mahlberg, Chris Vannausdle, Bryan Vannausdle and Wallace.

Wings America IMCA Late Models 20 lap feature was led from start to finish by the "X factor" Ryan Griffith from Webster City. Griffith pocked $1,228 for his winning efforts. Kale Kosiski finished second, Peosta's Eric Pollard made pull over to finish third. Andrew Tilley was fourth and Legend Gary Webb was fifth.

Pitts Chiropractice IMCA Modifieds 20 lap feature had some strong finding and maintain momentum as the feature was caution filled. The caution came out first before a single lap was completed scored forcing a complete restart. Kelly Shryock wresteld the early race lead from Jacob Hobscheidt but the caution again came out on lap three. Shryock continuned to lead but four more cautions fell on lap 11 and 12. Shryock went on to take the feature win and the $1,528 top prize. Anthony Roth, Chris Mills, Craig Reetz and Travis Hatcher rounded out the top five.

Final feature of the night was the IMCA Sport Mods 18 lap feature event but before a lap was scored the caution came out when Corey Madden experience issues in turn one. Hunter Longnecker jumped out to the race lead and manage to lead all 18 laps to take the feature win. Cody Hillgartner was second, Cade Richards was third, Brett Vanderheiden was fourth and Thomas VanDyke was fifth.

Final checkered flag was displayed at 10:27pm and after having conversations and fighting our way out we as a team rolled into Marshalltown around 3 am. It was a fun night and thanks to Tyler and the rest of the team for letting me tag along on the racing trip.

Shelby County Speedway in Harlan typically race on Saturday Nights so keep your eye out for the 2021 racing schedule.

After all the the Final night of Racing at the Brooklyn Raceway in 2020 got rocking and rolling on Night Two of the Fall Nationals presented by Lakeside Hotel & Casino. The racing was exciting and you could say the smackdown was laid down as drivers want to go home with a title belt for winning.

First feature of the night was the 30 lap Micro Sprints feature event. Zach Nelson wrestled the race lead from Dylan Larsen early and led until a caution on lap three for Morgan Dennis in turn two. Nelson led one more lap but Joe Dent took over the race lead on lap five. The caution came out on lap six when Josh Moffitt stopped in turn three. Michael Lange spun in turn four on lap seven bringing out another caution. Just after the completion of lap eight the caution came out one final time this time for Lucas Logue spinning in turn two leaving Dennis and Dallas Darnell nowhere to go forcing them to make contact. Dent held on and went on to take the feature win ahead of Hunter Lane. Lane finished second in the Travis Rewerts hot rod. Tyler Lee was third, Alex Vandervoort was fourth and Zach Nelson was fifth.

Dalton Sowers wrestled the early lead from pole sitter Brian Frederick
in the 12 lap Front Wheel Drive feature event. Sowers held off challenges from Frederick until the caution came out for debris in turn two. Sowers continued to lead but Mark Smith got by Frederick to take over the runner-up spot before a caution came out on lap six when Jay Crabill spun in turn two. Sowers held off Smith to take the feature win. Smith was second, Frederick was third, Tyler Haring and John Schuring was fourth and fifth respectively.

Before a lap was completely scored in the Hobby Stocks 12 lap feature event, the caution came out when Bruce Kline spun in turn four. Brandan Long grabbed the race lead and managed to lead from start to finish. There was a caution on lap seven for Leroy Kline and Mike Goldsberry getting hooked together in turn four. Long was not to be denied going to grab the Fall Nationals win ahead of Bruce Kline, Anthony Goldsberry, Garrett Croy and Leroy Kline.

Tim McKee appeared to be the guy to beat in the Trucks Figure Eight 12 lap feature event but lap traffic came a factor on lap six allowing "Tiny" Dave Sellers to take over race lead. McKee grabbed the lead back on lap seven however some contact was made cutting a tire down on the McKee ride. The caution came out on lap eight when Bryan Stephenson stopped the middle. Sellers led the final four laps to take the win. Jerry Moffitt finished second, Michelle Keasling was third. McKee got fourth and Stephenson was fifth.

In the Cruisers 12 lap feature, there was a red flag on the first lap when Taylor Stoddard / Brent Bardwell ride caught fire near the fuel cell. After Brooklyn Fire got the fire out the race going going and the team of Mark Schuring / Jerret Utterback grabbed the race lead. Schuring / Utterback held off Duane Zander / Jesse Zander and then Corey Vanderwilt / Brett Maasdam. Schuring / Utterback won the track champion and managed to go on and claim the Fall Nationals feature win. Vanderwilt / Maasdam, Danielle Kline / Bruce Kline, Duane Zander / Jesse Zander and Trysten LaRue / Jason Rewerts rounded out the top five.

Brady Austin led the first lap of the Junior Front Wheel Drive feature event before he messed up resulting in the field to bunch up and Kole Adams spun in turn four. That gave the lead over to Addasyn Spain. Spain went on to take the feature win ahead of Zachary Cleghorn and DJ Albertson. Austin was fourth and Adams was fifth.

"Magic" Mike Vander Molen was crowned the track champion early in the day in the Stock Figure 8 class and grabbed the lead early from his outside front starting spot. Vander Molen led until the caution came out just after the completion of lap three when Ashton Hartwig and Lane Leerhoff get together in turn three. Anthony Goldsberry took the lead away and managed to hold of Mark Schuring to take the win. Schuring was second, Rick "Goose" Goldsberry was third, Dan Arnett was fourth and Lane "Farmer" Leerhoff was fifth.

Jerrod Thompson led all twelve laps of the Open Figure 8 feature event with his friend Jesse Sanders in tow the entire distance. John Watts ran third, Ted Armstrong was fourth and Jacob Lehman was fifth.

Final feature of the night was the 12 lap Pro-Stock Figure Eight feature event. Cameron Eichhorn took the race lead early after wrestling it away from Kyle Richardson. The caution came out on lap two for Aaron Roudabush spinning in the figure eight. Another caution came out on lap three when JR Tarter and Riley Cope get together in turn one. After lap four was scored the caution was displayed when Eichhorn and Brian Sterling getting together in turn four. Brooklyn Fall Nationals Night One and Final Track Points Night Recap

Brooklyn Raceway hosted Night one of the Fall Nationals presented by Lakeside Hotel & Casino on Friday Night, it also would see the end of track points battle come to an end as it was the final night for track points.

The format for Friday Night was the top finishers locked themselves in to the main events on Saturday which would see the winner go home with a Fall National Championship title belt.

Racing was action packed and intense all night long with several surprising finishes. Over One Hundred and Sixty cars checked in to tame the bullring south of Brooklyn.

First feature of the night was the Micro Sprints scheduled to go 20 laps but before a single lap was scored the caution came out when Bill Livezy, Mason Seubert and Derrike Clark got together in turn two. Joe Dent grabbed the early race lead before Alex Vandervoort took over the race lead. Vandervoort saw Dent get back by on lap four. The first restart caution was for Vandervoort and Zach Nelson getting together and Cole Elton flipping in turn four. Dent and Travis Rewerts got together in turn four on the following restart, Rewerts sent to the tail and Dent was given his spot back. This forced race officials to call for a green-white-checkered finish forcing the race to go only 10 laps. Dent held on to take the win locking him into Saturday along with Tyler Lee, Dylan Larsen and Zach Nelson rounding out the top four. Elton came back to finish fifth.

INEX Legends 20 lap feature event was next and it was Dave Eberle wrestling the early lead away from Jeremy Meyer. Aikey Wins Final Deery Series Race at Dale DeFrance Memorial

Third Annual Dale DeFrance Memorial kicked off World Nationals Weekend at Marshalltown Speedway by hosting the 500th and Final Deery Brothers Summer Series Race for IMCA Late Models. The Series started back in 1987 and had the 500th race cancelled because of rain several times last season before the Series ended but after Toby Kruse contacted IMCA, they thought what better way than to have 500th Deery Series Races part of the Dale DeFrance Memorial.

The special got postponed from its orginally scheduled date in May because of the COVID-19 pandemic and then had its first rescheduled date of June 9th cancelled. It was rescheduled for July 9th but once again was cancelled this time for rain so it was rescheduled to be a part of the World Nationals Weekend on Thursday September 17th replacing Practice Night.

First feature of the night was the 15 lap MADCRA Mod Lites feature event. Mike Kennedy grabbed the early race lead but just after the completion of lap two the caution came out when Travis Messamer came to a stop on the run off road to the pits. Kennedy held on to the race lead until the caution came out on lap four when Dillon Raffurty took over the race lead. The caution came on lap fie for Austin Glick and Cody Yaw in turn two. Dillon Raffurty held off Kennedy on the restart and went on to take the victory. Cory Sonner grabbed second away from Kennedy, Tim Glick grabbed third, Kennedy fell back to fourth and Randy Bryan was fifth.

Before a lap was scored in the IMCA Sport Mods 20 lap feature event, the caution came out when Michael Plate and Jessiah Taylor got together in turn two. "Speedy Bray" Brayton Carter grabbed the race lead on the restart from his outside front row starting spot. Carter held the lead over Austin Kaplan, Ryan King and Johnathon Logue. The caution came out on lap 13 when Taylor spun in turn three but that did not faze Carter as he went on to take the win. Logue took second, Dylan Van Wyk was third. Ryan King came across in fourth but was disqualified in post race tech inspection moving Carter VanDenBerg to fourth and Kaplan to fifth.

Luke Schluetter wrestled the early lead from fellow front row starter Blake Henry in the 18 lap IMCA Hobby Stocks feature event. The first caution came out on lap four when Aaron Martin, Clint Nelson and Dustin Jackson got together in turn four. Schluetter continued to lead until Super Nationals Champion Nathan Ballard worked his way from seventh to the race lead on lap nine. Ballard held of Schluetter until the caution came out on lap 11 when Jackson stopped in turn two with a right rear flat tire. Ballard got a great restart and went on to take the feature win. Schluetter, Marcus Wayne, Carter Koop and Jeremiah Andrews rounded out the top five.

The Class Too Tough Too Tame IMCA Stock Cars was up next for their 20 lap feature event. Jerry Schipper led the first lap before the caution came for John Heinz and Kevin Rose in turn four. "Game Changer" Dallon Murty took over race lead on the restart but that was short lived as Chanse Hollatz grabbed it on lap three. Jeff Mueller took the lead over on lap four and not even cautions on lap six or nine was going to deny him the victory. The caution on lap six for Russell Damme Jr spun in turn two. The caution on lap nine was for Curt Hook, Kyle Everts and Mike Van Genderen getting together in turn two. Mueller took the win ahead of Dallon Murty, Damon Murty, Shawn Ritter and twenty-first place starter Steve Meyer.

Richie Gustin led the first seven laps for the 20 lap IMCA Modified feature event before Cody Laney took over the race lead. Laney led the remaining thirteen laps to take the checkers ahead of Tim Ward, fourteenth place starter Tom Berry Jr, twelfth place starter Jeff AIkey and Richie Gustin.

Final feature of the night was the 44 lap IMCA Late Models feauture event. Gary Webb led the opening lap and Dave Wada led lap two before a caution came out. The caution came out for Richie Gustin, Joe Zrostlik and Kyle Krampe in turn four. Jeff Aikey took over the race lead on lap four and never looked back. The caution came out again on lap eight for Eric Pollard in turn two. Aikey got a great restart and pulled away with only lap traffic slowing him down but the rest of the top runners could not catch him. The final caution came out on lap 38 when Curt Martin stopped in turn two. Aikey held off Webb and Matt Ryan to take the 500th and final Deery Series Race. Ryan was second, Justin Kay was third, Webb was fourth and "IronMan" Darrel DeFrance was fifth.

Racing action saw the final checkered flag displayed at 11:55pm.

Marshalltown Speedway races again Friday and Saturday Night with the 14th Annual World Nationals featuring $2,000 to win IMCA Modifieds each night. IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Sport Mods are racing for $1,000 to win each night. IMCA Hobby Stocks top prize of $500 to win. Hot Laps at 6:20pm and Racing at 7pm each night.

Sunday Night Racing at Brooklyn was Full of Excitement

On Sunday Night, I made the 48 mile trip to the Brooklyn Raceway, the track that has been like home in 2020 season since being invited by Promoter Don Wauters to come down be a part of the Brooklyn Raceway staff. Sunday Night's racing action was filled with excitement and tempers flaring under the early September night.

Final car count for the night was One Hundred and Nineteen cars signed in to race at the Brooklyn Raceway plus at Intermission, the youngsters aged three to six years old took to the track for power wheel races. Each youngster that participated in the power wheel races also received a participation medal. With all the racing action on Sunday Night, the final checkered flag flew at 11:07pm.

First feature of the night was the 20 lap Micro Sprints feature event. Travis Rewerts wrestled the race lead from Tyler Lee in the early part of the race. Lee did not go away as Lee was able to take over the top spot from Rewerts on lap seven. Lee led until lap 14 when Joe Dent was able to take over the race lead. The caution came out on lap 16 when Lee spun in turn four. Dent led the remaining laps and held off Rewerts to take the win. Rewerts was second, Alex Vandervoort was third, Dallas Darnell was fourth and Morgan Dennis was fifth.

Because of Car count, the Front Wheel Drive was split into 2 feature events. Front Wheel Drive Feature Number 1 saw Danny Robinson lead the first two laps before Mark Smith took the top spot away on lap three. Smith held off Robinson and Crabill until the caution came out on lap six for Colton Arment and Robinson got together in turn four. Smith held off Crabill to go on to take his first career feature win. Crabill finished second ahead of Tony Audas, Jody Kingery and Hier.

Front Wheel Drive Feature Number 2 saw Dalton Sowers lead all twelve laps to take his first win at the Brooklyn Raceway in 2020. Steven Fenton grabbed second on lap three from John Schuring. Schuring finished in third, Jeremy Williams was fourth and Hailey Morse was fifth.

Brandan Long wrestled the lead early in the twelve lap Hobby Stock feature event from fellow front row starter Kevin LeBeau. Jacob Lehman grabbed second away from LeBeau on lap three. Long and Lehman began a battle for the race lead just like they are doing in the point race until a caution came out on lap ten. The caution on lap ten was for Keaton Gorden spinining to avoid the lap car of John Schuring and then Bruce Kline made contact. Long held off Lehman on the restart to take his thrid win of the year in Brooklyn. Lehman, LeBeau, Gorden and Garrett Croy rounded out the top five.

In the Trucks Figure 8 twelve lap feature event, Tim McKee and Dave "Tiny" Sellers battled for the race lead before McKee took it over. McKee pulled away to take the easy win. Mark Ruggles wrestled the second spot away on the final lap from Sellers. Sellers finished third with Michelle Keasling finishing fourth.

Junior Front Wheel Drive eight lap feature event saw Zachary Cleghorn lead lap one before Aubrey McKasson was able to wrestle the lead away. McKasson held off Cleghorn to go on and take the win. Cleghorn, Addasyn Spain, Austin Albertson and Blaine Kriegel finished second through fifth respectively.

Two Man Cruisers had enough cars to have two seperate feature events just like the FWD class. In Cruisers feature one, James Tarter / Britton Brickman jumped out to the race lead after fending off Zach Lewis / Eddy Johnson early. Tarter / Brickman held off Lewis / Johnson and then Laverne Lehman / Jacob Lehman. Tarter / Brickman was not going to let the late race lap traffic deny them the feature win. Lehman / Lehman, Lewis / Johnson, Danielle Kline / Bruce Kline and Steven Milton / Riley Cope rounded out the top five.

Before a lap was scored in Cruisers feature two, the caution came out for Alex Kline / Preston Kline in turn two when the rear axle broke in turn two. On the restart, Corey Vanderwilt / Brett Maasdam grabbed the race lead early and then the caution came out on lap two, Branden Stoddard / Mark Ruggles stopped in turn four. Vanderwilt / Maasdam continued to lead until lap six when another caution came out. The caution on lap six was for Brady Ringler / Lane LaRue in turn four. On lap seven, Vanderwilt / Maasdam got sideways in turn two and the call was made that Brandan Long / Brandon Tjaden made contact so they received the black flag for questionable driving. That gave the official lead over to Mark Schuring / Jerret Utterback and they would go on to take the feature win. Austin Schuring / Ray Hill finished a close second, Wyatt Clabaugh / Chad Clabaugh was third, Jacob Anderson / Tyler Shuttleworth was fourth and Vanderwilt / Maasdam was fifth.

"Farmer" Lane Leerhoff led the first two laps for the 12 lap Stock Figure 8 feature event before a caution came out when Wyatt Clabaugh and Dan Arnett got together in turn one. Blake Stevens took the race lead away on the restart and lead until Jerome Kline took the race lead away on lap seven. Stevens fell back and then brought out the caution on lap nine. Stevens made contact with Marvin Housley II in the middle of the figure 8, ending both of their nights. Jerome Kline held off Mike Vandermolen to go on and take the feature win. Vandermolen was second, Ashton Hartwig was third, Wyatt Clabaugh was fourth and Josh Albertson was fifth.

Casey McKasson wrestled the early race lead in the Open Figure 8 twelve lap feature event. Just after the caution came out on lap one for Jacob Lehman in turn four amd Nic Runyan in turn two. McKasson held of John Watts and Duane Zander on the restart but Watts refused to go away. Watts took the race lead away on lap five and went on to take the feature win. Jerrod Thompson took second away from McKasson on lap eight and McKasson ended up pulling off with two to go. Finishing behind Watts and Thompson was Ted Armstrong, Jacob Lehman and Duane Zander.

Final feature of the night was the twelve lap Pro-Stock Figure 8 feature event but before a lap was scored the caution came out for Zach Lewis in turn two. Bradly Graham led the first lap before Butch Lester took over the race lead on lap two. Lester looked to be heading on to the win until Ed Johnson took the race lead away on lap 11. Johnson took the win ahead of Trenton Witt, Lester, Colton Wersinger and Justin Wedeking.
