Oberhelman went on to take his 1st career win over Sassman, Bryce Summers, Kalan Guthrie and Nick Hogan.

The Conley's Trucking IMCA Sport Mods feature was caution filled and before one lap was completed the caution came out when a couple of cars got together in turn two. On the restart, Rick Fasse took the lead and he led until the caution came out again on lap three this time because of a rear spring on the front stretch that came from Fasse's car. Ty Griffith took the lead on the restart but four laps later the caution came out again. Aaron Benson would take the lead away from Griffith and go on to take the win despite a pair of cautions on lap 12 and 15. Carter VanDenBerg, Matt Lettow, Griffith and Jared Van Deest rounded out the top five.

Victor and Nathan Palmateer started on the front row in the Casady Brothers Implement IMCA Hobby Stock feature. But the caution came out before a lap was completed when Wade Gilliland, Matt Mundt and Myles Michehl got together. When the race got going it was Nathan Palmateer leading the first lap but Jeff Lyon took the lead way on lap two. Shortly after the Palmateer's saw their night expire. Lyon lead until late in the race when Randy Embrey was able to his way back through the field after going to the tail for a flat tire early in the race. Embrey took the win, Craig Graham got by Lyon for second. Matt Mundt and Jeremy Morriss was fourth and fifth.

Mary Ann's Speciality Foods Stock Cars 18 lap feature saw Jared Daggett lead the first seven laps before the only race caution came out for Vince Loewen in turn four. Grady lead until lap four when he experienced mechanical issues that gave the lead to Todd Cooney. Cooney had pulled away until Ryan Griffith found a groove to his liking and chase down Cooney just before the caution on lap 16 for Johnson on the backstretch. Griffith took the lead away from Cooney on restart to take his 1st win of the season at his hometown track. Jason Hahne, Darrel DeFrance and Rookie John Emerson finished third through fifth respectively.

Final feature of the night was the George White Chevrolet IMCA Modifieds 20 lap feature and it saw several heavy hitters there to get the car dialed in for the Hawkeye Dirt Tour Special. After three cautions before including having the initial start called back it was Devon Havlik taking the lead. Havlik continued to lead until the caution came out on lap nine for Greg Elliott in turn three. Havlik saw Scott Olson and Adam Larson on his back bumper. Stanton, Gustin, Schmidt and Larson Win Thrillers on Minute Man Printing Night at MoTown

Stanton, Gustin, Schmidt and Larson Win Thrillers on Minute Man Printing Night at MoTown
By Jeremy Fox

Marshalltown, Iowa (May 30th, 2014) –  There is no place better to be on Friday Nights then the Marshalltown Speedway as everybody was on the edge of their seats all night long. Thrilling finish in four out of six feature events on Minute Man Printing Night.

For the second week in a row the 18 lap IMCA Northern SportMods feature was a thriller. Chad Ryerson lead the first three laps before the caution came out twice. On the restart, Ryerson saw Ryan King take the lead. King saw Jenae Gustin take the top spot on lap six. Gustin continued to lead until the caution came out on lap ten. On the restart, Gustin saw King, Clint Luellen, Carter VanDenBerg and Sam Wieben but Gustin held on to the lead on lap 11 only to see Luellen take the lead away on lap 12. Gustin, Luellen and VanDenBerg began to have a three car battle for the top spot but Luellen maintained the lead until the last lap when Gustin would take the lead back for her second win of the season at Motown. VanDenBerg beat Luellen to the line for second meanwhile Wieben was fourth and Jared Van Deest was fifth.

"Class To Tough To Tame" IMCA Stock Cars 18 lap feature did not disappoint any one as it was exciting from the drop of the green to the checkered. Don Vis led the opening lap before Jay Schmidt took the lead away on lap two. Schmidt led through the cautions on lap eight and ten but the caution on lap 13 would set up a good one. Schmidt saw Donavon Smith and Steve Meyer right behind him on the restart, Smith worked the bottom side and took the lead coming to two to go. Schmidt took it back when Smith bobble just a bit and he held of Smith to take his first win at Motown this season. Meyer ended third, Michael Jaennette tried to join the fun but finish fourth and Jeff Wollam was fifth.

Rookies Jake Strayer and Brandon Leeman battled up front in the opening laps for the IMCA Modified 20 lap feature. Strayer lead until lap six before Adam Larson took the lead away. Larson appeared to be heading on to the easy race win and the only thing that slowed him down was lap traffic. On the last lap though Larson jumped the cushion allowing Luke Wanninger to chase him down, Wanninger tried to make a move coming to the checkered but it did not work as Larson took the win. Joel Rust, Brandon Leeman and Jon Snyder rounded out the top five.

David Moorman led all eight laps in the IMCA Sport Compacts. John Gill in 2nd, Aaron Miller in 3rd and Douglas Byers in 4th.

Mod Lites 15 lap feature saw Mike Kennedy lead the first two laps before Travis Brandt took the lead away. Brandt and the field saw the caution come out twice on lap four but that did not faze him. Brandt continued to lead until Charlie Brown took the lead away on lap eight. Just after the completion the caution came out for the final time. Brown managed to pull away and take the win over Andy Hennigar, Mike Morrill, Brandt and Randy Bryan.

In the IMCA Hobby Stocks 12 lap feature, it was Rookie Andy Hick leading lap one. Just after the completion of that lap, Brice Udelhoven, Austin Luellen and Steve Fricke got together in turn two. Hick appeared to be no rookie as he got a great restart but some Eric Stanton chase him down and was able to take the lead with one to go. Stanton went on to take the win meanwhile John Watson finished second. Hick, Gary Pfantz and Last Week's Winner Dustin Elliott finish third through fifth respectively.

Next Week the race track is busy because there is racing on Tuesday Night and Friday Night. First on Tuesday is the return of the United States Modified Touring Series plus Iron Man Challenge Series for USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods. Hot Laps at 7:00 p.m. and Racing to Follow.
