So since my Monday night was free now, I was asked to come out of the bullpen and do some fill-in PA announcing for Marshalltown High School during their softball doubleheader with Highway 30 rival Ames, but unfortunately, they made the decision because of storms during the times of the games, and they are postponed to a later date. As I type this, the plan may be to play the doubleheader tomorrow night since it looks a little better than it did.
Tuesday night, my plan was to attend the 34th Annual Harris Clash presented by Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, but due to a not-so-favorable weather forecast, Bob Harris, Boone Speedway, and IMCA officials have decided to postpone to save money for unnecessary travel when the chances are slim. The rescheduled date is Tuesday, August 5th. IMCA officials will now begin to put together the return of Iowa Speedweek. Information with more details on dates and participating tracks will be announced as soon as it's figured out.
It's only Monday, and the Foxman is now batting 0 for 3 with 3 strikeouts this week. I may have a softball doubleheader tomorrow; if not, I will either plan to make a trip to Stuart for the Ron Little Memorial or the Gary Wilson Memorial featuring the SLMR Late Models at Osky on Wednesday. Friday night, it's back to Marshalltown for flagging duties during the Minute Man Printing Night featuring $500 to win Sport Compacts. Saturday night, my options are Hamilton County Speedway for the Tri-State Late Model Series and Bill Rice Memorial or Independence with the Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Tour, or maybe somewhere else; I guess we will see but where ever I end up I just might bring the camera along.
