Thrasher, Lowry, Cale, Harward and Tedrow Win on Doc 360 Night at Bloomfield

There would be some fantastic side-by-side racing on Doc360 Night at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway which would lead to some exciting finishes to the features. Temperatures were definitely cooler and for some would mean it was time for a sweatshirt but they definitely wouldn't be disappointed as they would get to see all 5 weekly classes plus the Vintage Cars from the Mississippi Valley Vintage Racing Association.

First feature of the night was the Kirkland Auto of Centerville Hobby Stock feature. Mike Kincaid would start inside row number 3 but a crazy start to the feature would lead him to take the lead on lap 1. However shortly after the completion of lap 1 the caution would fly for debris on the front stretch so on the restart Kincaid would have Danny Thrasher and Brad Prado to contend with. Thrasher would take the lead from Kincaid and then on lap 4, Kincaid would bring the yellow out when he would spin in turn 3. Thrasher wouldn't let that both him a begin to pull away but with just 5 laps to go the caution would fly again this time when Brian Schafer would lose a tire going into turn 1. Thrasher would be able to hold off any challenges late from Dustin Griffiths to take the win. Griffiths, Rocky Fosdyck, Scott Shull and Prado would round out the top 5.

The Mike's Tire and Alignment SportMods feature would see three different leaders in the first 3 laps. Jamie Pribyl would lead the first lap before Jim Walker would take the lead on lap 2. Brett Lowry would start 8th in the feature but worked his way up to take the lead on lap 3 and Lowry would begin to pull away. When the race was all finished, Lowry would win by over half the track with Scott VanBusKirk in 2nd, Carter Vandenberg in 3rd, Brandon Dale in 4th and Mike Shelton in 5th.

William Michel would find his world going upside as he would lose a right rear wheel going into turn 1 just after taking the green in the Kollision Korner of Bloomfield Sport Compacts 12 lap feature. Michel would be okay and climb from the car, Tim Bevins would also be involved and it would end his night. This would force a straight up restart and it was Travis Tedrow and Brandon Housley would be the front row. Housley would take the lead on lap 1 but it was Tedrow taking the lead on lap 2. Shortly after the caution would fly twice for debris on lap 2 but that wouldn't both Tedrow as he would go on and take the win. Kevin Kirkpatrick was 2nd, Kassidy Kirkpatrick was 3rd, David Probasco was 4th and Housley was 5th.

Up next was the Taylor Automotive Stock Car feature and it was Phil McClure leading the first 3 laps before "The Snail" Gary Harward would make the pass and take the lead on lap 4. Harward would have several challenges from McClure and Louis Lynch. Harward would see Lynch try to sneak to the inside but it was Harward not giving up the inside lane to hold on to the win. Lynch settled for 2nd, McClure was 3rd, Derrick Agee was 4th and Mike Harward was 5th.

In the Mississippi Valley Vintage Racing Association Vintage Car feature it was Butch Ermer leading the first 3 laps before Don Tice would take the lead on lap 4. Tice's lead would be short lived as Ermer would get back by on lap 8 to take the lead. Ermer would go and take the win over Ted Rozinski, who would finish 2nd. Brett Metcalf, Ralph Ermer and Clair Kimmel would finish 3rd through 5th.

The final feature of the night was the Karr Collison Center Modifieds feature and it was Tyler Cale in a brand new car taking the lead and not looking back despite the three cautions on lap 5. The first caution was for Jason Reigel in turn 1, second one for Beau Taylor in turn 2 and the final caution for debris in turn 1. Cale would go on and take the win with Andrew Schroeder in 2nd, Tyler Vandekamp in 3rd, Brandon Banks in 4th and Kevin Cale in 5th.

Next Saturday Night will be Davis Seed and Making Memories Flowers and Gifts Season Championship Night at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway. Kirkland Auto will sponsor the the JR Fan Club again next week. Again this will not final race as there will be a Special on September 1st and then the First Annual Bloomfield Border Wars Fall Challenge would take place September 27th through 30th. Hot Laps at 6 pm and Racing to Follow.
