Past Top 5 or 10 in Marshalltown Speedway Points from 1998 through 2010

Well i have been spending sometime doing some research on finding out who finish in the top 5 or top 10 in past Marshalltown Speedway Points and i want to give a big thanks to Bill Martin from International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) for helping out with a lot of the years dating back to 1998.

The closest points championships in each division since 1998 was: 0 pts in the Mod Lites in 2008 when Mike Morrill and Andy Hennigar both tied for the points championship but Morrill was crown the champion because of a tiebreaker, 1 pt in the IMCA Sport Mods also in 2008 when then Sport Mod Rookie Luke Wanninger beat Kevin Sather, 2 pts in the IMCA Modifieds when now 4 Time Track Champion Jimmy Gustin beat out Vern "Action" Jackson  in 2007, also 2 pts in the IMCA Stock Cars when "The Chelsea Charger" Damon Murty beat out "Team 3W" Jeff Wollam in 2003 and meanwhile the closest point battle in the IMCA Hobby Stocks is 4 pts when Tim Murty beat out "Chelsea Charger" Damon Murty for the championship in 1999.

Meanwhile the largest points championships in each division since 1998 was: 76 pts in the IMCA Stock Cars when Dustin Smith took the Championship over Jeff Wollam in 2009, 65 pts in the IMCA Hobby Stocks when Damon Murty took the championship over "The Racing Redhead" Belinda Harger in 2001, 59 pts in the IMCA Modifieds when "Fast" Danny Fetters took the championship over Duane Van Deest, 29 pts in the Mod Lites in 2007 when Andy Hennigar took the championship over Tim Hennigar and 27 pts in the IMCA Sport Mods just last year (2010) was the largest point gap when Scott Davis took the track championship from Eric Flander.

Okay now that we have that taken we will see how many people pay attention to this blog because i am sure there will be some trivia questions this year when we get closer to the racing season or in racing season.
