Ready For Racing......Mother Nature Not So Much

Well since the racing season ended last fall, I have attended high school football games and wrestling meets supporting my younger brother in his senior year and/or working the events. My last race was the 2nd night of the World Nationals at Marshalltown last fall because of that and I have been more than ready for some racing in or around Iowa.

Mother Nature has had different plans.....Planned to go to Scotland County Speedway on March 16th & 17th but mother nature won, World Nationals Finale Night at Marshalltown Speedway on March 24th but again mother nature won, Scotland County Speedway's 2nd Spring Special this weekend (March 30th & 31st) but again Mother Nature won, IMCA Frostbusters for next week but mother nature no way!

My Friday Night race track, the Hancock County Speedway in Britt has postponed its Practice scheduled for next saturday to Saturday April 14th moving the Season Opener Frostbuster to Friday April 20th. If you have not been to the Hancock County Speedway, I urge you to make a visit there are several specials throughout the season in Britt. The Night of Stars is weekend is always a great one to attend: Practice / Dirt Dominator on Wednesday August 8th, Night of 1000 Stars on Thursday August 9th, Night of 10000 Stars on Friday August 10th and Bob Shryock Memorial Night of All-Stars on Saturday August 11th. You can find the complete schedule on the Hancock County Speedway Facebook Page (@hcspeedway)

Back to the IMCA Frostbusters originally scheduled for next week, being pushed back one week and will now be ran on April 11th-14th! Lee County Speedway will have a practice on Tuesday April 10th along with Dirt Dominator Event with the IMCA Frostbuster to begin on Wednesday April 11th. Benton County Speedway will have night two of the IMCA Frostbuster Swing with racing on Thursday April 12th and Will not have racing on Sunday April 15th. Marshalltown Speedway has night three on Friday April 13th and Boone has the last night on Saturday April 14th.

Season Openers for Track Points will be Friday April 20th for Lee County Speedway and Marshalltown Speedway, Saturday April 21st for Boone Speedway and Sunday April 22nd for Benton County Speedway.

Since the Frostbusters was postponed one week the Scotland County Speedway Memphis Shootout Sponsored by Pepsi Memphis Bottling and Sauerman Trucking has been recheduled and will be ran next weekend April 6th & 7th.

I am so ready for racing and I know there is many others so I think somebody need to get mother nature an Easter Basket so we can get some Amazing Weather so we can go racing. ITS TIME FOR DIRT FLY AND NOT RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS!

Hopefully Catch You at the Races Soon
