Independence Falls Victim Again and Goes 0-4 in the Month of April

Independence, Iowa (April 30th, 2022) - Mother Nature wins again at the Independence Motor Speedway after late week rain washes away the season opener again. This was scheduled to be the fourth race of the season for the 3/8 mile but just like the previous three races : Frostbuster April 7th, season opener on April 16th and April 23rd, it fell victim to mother nature.

The night was scheduled to have IMCA sanctioned Late Models, Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks along with Sport Compacts, Indee Cars and Outlaw 2 Man Cruisers but too much over night rain fell leaving speedway officials no choice to cancel this week's races.

Independence Motor Speedway will now try to get the season started on Saturday May 7th. The Haulin' with Hoker Trucking Super Late Model Racing Series Late Models will make their first of 2 visits for a $3,000 to win show. Performance Bodies IMCA Modifieds, Dominator Chassis IMCA Stock Cars, Burco Sales IMCA Sport Mods, Albert Auto Service IMCA Hobby Stocks, Waterloo Auto Parts Indee Cars and Waterloo Auto Parts Sport Compacts. Pits Open at 3:30p, Grandstands Open at 4:30p, Hot Laps at 5:45p, Racing to Follow.

Ward, Schafroth, Carter, Cox, Fiebelkorn and Kraus Takes Stevens Memorial Wins at Stuart

Wednesday Night the 2022 track points championship title run began with the Tim and Tammy Stevens Memorial Season Opener at the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Sauerman Trucking, Coca-Cola Atlantic Bottling Company, Motorsports Warehouse and Avey Sanitation was the night's sponsors plus family and friends of Tim and Tammy donate to the purse.

The night was in honor to remember Tim and Tammy Stevens, both who were heavily involved in racing before their passing. Tim passed away in August of 2018 expectedly and Tammy passed away in July of 2021 after a battle with cancer. Both loved racing and both became friends of the Foxman many years ago including allowing me to stay with them during Super Nationals. They meant so much too me and honestly I don't know how to put it to words.

One hundred-twenty eight cars checked in to Stuart Speedway with IMCA Stock Cars leading the way with 27 cars. Outlaw Mini Mods had 25, IMCA Sport Mods 24, IMCA Hobby Stocks 21, IMCA Sport Compacts 16 and IMCA Modifieds saw 15 cars sign in. It was a beautiful spring April night and the racing surface produced fantastic racing all night, which is no surprise since Track Owner/Promoter Mike Van Genderen and track crew do amazing job to create multiple lanes. The night was a little off schedule allowing time to get everybody checked in, however to fix that issue they will now have drivers check in near the pit concession stand starting with Sunday's special. The final checkered flag was waived at 10:28pm.

First feature on the track was the John's Tree Service IMCA Sport Compacts 15 lap feature event. "Turbo" Tyler Fiebelkorn grabbed the early race lead from the pole position and Kolby Sabin followed suit from third to second.  Fiebelkorn got a little separation until the caution came out on lap four when Mitchell Bunch spun in turn two. On the restart, Michael Hotze was spun in turn four by Ryan Brown forcing the caution to come out again. The caution came out again on lap six when Hotze and Andrew Akers in turn two. Fiebelkorn held off several challenges from Sabin to take the feature win. Sabin finished second ahead of Zak Sickles, Jeremiah Downing and Curtis Masterson.

Outlaw Mini Mods was up next as 25 cars took the green flag for 15 laps, however before a single lap was scored the caution came out when several cars got together in turn one.  Gage Hilgenberg led the first four laps before seventh place starter Ben Kraus took the top spot away. Kraus pulled away only to see the caution come out on lap eight for Chase Daniels in turn three with Matthew Grobe making contact. Kraus got a great restart and pulled away from TJ Stalker and Kamdyn Haggard again on the restart but the caution came out on lap 11 for Gale Worthington and Carlos Vergara getting together in turn two. Kraus got a great restart and held on to take the win. Haggard took second away from Stalker, Stalker finished third. Sixteenth place starter Nathan Kilwine was fourth and tenth place starter Dalton Faber was fifth.

In the Karl's Pre-Owned (Spangler Automotive) IMCA Sport Mods 20 lap feature, Osceola's Colton Nelson jumped to the race lead from the pole position as Cam Reimers worked his way from fourth to second on lap one. Colton Nelson led the first three laps before Reimers took the lead away on lap four. The caution came out a lap later when Bryan Morris and Kaylin Lopez get together in turn four. Reimers held off Colton Nelson and "Speedy Bray" Brayton Carter on the restart but the caution came out again on lap six when Blair Simmons and Joey Young in turn three. Carter got a great restart and took the lead away from Reimers on lap seven. The caution came out one more time on lap 12 when Mike Dullard and Hunter Longnecker get together in turn two. Carter held off Reimers and Colton Nelson on the restart and go on to take the win. Reimers finished second, Colton Nelson exited on lap 15. Tyler Inman finished third, ninth place starter Izac Mallicoat finished fourth and Mitchell Morris came home fifth.

"Missile" Miciah Hidlebaugh grabbed the early race lead in the the Affordable Quality Roofing Exteriors IMCA Stock Cars 20 lap feature event with Bryan Snell running second and Dallon Murty in third. The caution came out on lap two when Hidlebaugh, Murty and Snell where three wide coming down the front stretch, contact between Murty and Snell forced the yellow to come out. Murty had a flat tire and went to the work area. Austin Bouzek took the race lead away on lap four. The caution came out again on lap five when Josh Pruitt spun in turn two and on lap six when Chuck Madden Jr spun turn four. Bouzek continued to lead until lap 11 when "Buck Wild" Buck Schafroth took the lead away just before another caution on lap 11 when Jeremy Gettler spun in turn three. One caution came out out on lap 13 when Josh Pruitt and Matthew Lance got together exiting turn four. Schaforth held off Bouzek to take the feature win. Bouzek and sixteenth place starter Troy Jerovetz rounded out the top three. Murty worked his way back for a forth place finish and Hidlebaugh fell back to fifth.

Up next was the Ricks Towing IMCA Hobby Stocks 18 lap feature event.  Dylan Nelson started fourth but by the end of lap one, he was scored the leader. Brandon Cox did not go away and began to battle with Nelson for the lead, Cox took the lead away on lap two, Nelson regained it on lap four. Cox took the lead back on lap five and hung on to it until Nelson took it back on laps eight and nine. Cox regained the lead on lap ten. The only caution came out on lap 13 when Brandon Holbrook had his hood come up leaving debris on the front stretch. Cox held off Nelson and Luke Ramsey on the restart to take the feature win. Nelson, Ramsey, Solomon Bennett and Skylar Pruitt rounded out the top five,

Final feature of the night was the VIP Contractors and Karl Chevrolet of Stuart IMCA Modifieds 20 lap feature. Tim Ward grabbed the race lead early and after the completion of lap one, the caution came out when Dennis Pittman was spun in turn three after slight contact from Tom Berry Jr. Ward held off Chase Rudolf and Pittman on the restart and cruised to the feature win. Drew Janssen finished second, "The Game Changer" Dallon Murty was third, "Toddzilla" Todd Shute was fourth and Rudolf was fifth.

Cold and Fun Night Welcomed a New Promoter at Warren County

After the Independence Motor Speedway in Independence know as Indee cancelled because of the cold weather, the decision was to make a trip to the Warren County Speedway in Indianola known as Indy.  It may have been chilly but that did not stop racers and fans from  enjoying the racing action. The Season opening night was sponsored by Aubert's Towing and at Intermission there was Kid's Candy Toss.

2022 brought a new promoter at the helm of the Warren County Speedway, as former Hobby Stock racer Brandan Long took over the reigns from AJ Nelson. Long and track team did an amazing job on the track prep to get it ready for opening night and it produces so fantastic racing all night. The only thing delaying the night from getting started was the wonderful thing called technology from allowing the lineups from being created and posted but once those all got fixed it was go time until the final checkered flag flew at 10:26pm.

I left my house around 2:30p and arrived around 3:45p, got back home at around 12:15a but want to thank Brandan Long and the team for letting me come down to support you on your first night as promoters at Warren County Speedway.

First feature of the night was the DeYarman Ford Junior Front Wheel Drive, Wesley Ross grabbed the early race lead fending off Aubrey McKasson but the caution came out on lap two when Fabian Eddinger spun in turn one. Ross held off McKasson and Katelynn Watts on the restart until lap six when Watts took over the race lead just before the caution came out again for Eddinger. Watts hung on to take the feature win, Ross finished second, McKasson was third, Gabriel Hoover was fourth and Emberli VanClark was fifth.

Robby Dittmer lead the entire distance in the Phillips' Floors Trucks Feature. Brandon Cox ran second the entire way. Clay Collins, Alex Catron and Matt Breeden round out the top five. Cole Becker started the feature but exit early.

Hunter Lane jumped to the early race lead of the Midwest Micro Series Micro Sprints presented by Gregg Young Chevrolet fending off pole sitter Toby Mosher. Lane pulled away and look to be cruising to the easy win but lap traffic got heavy late and that allowed Travis Rewerts and Cruz Dickerson to get closer. Lane's was just big enough to take the feature win, after the race he made contact with a lap car causing damage. Rewerts, Dickerson and Mosher finished second through fourth. Dakota Young came home with a fifth place finish.

Zack Jastroff and his partner led the opening lap of the TruBank Cruisers feature but Chris Nigon / Patrick Nigon took over the race lead on lap two. Jastroff's car spun in turn four causing Mackenzie Blackford and co-pilot to spin in turn four bring out the caution on lap four. Nigon / Nigon held on to take the feature win. Clay Collins / Jason Collins finished second, Josh Grubbs and his co-pilot finished third. Chris Mitchell / Shelbie Mitchell finished fourth and Jastroff & co-pilot came home fifth.

Terry Bickford and Braelynn Long led the field to green in the Front Wheel Drive but Casey Tucker, started fourth took the race lead early. Matt Pool grabbed second pushing Bickford back to third, Long fell back to fifth by lap one. Long eventually head to the infield after her engine expired. Tucker lead the entire distance going on to take feature win. Pool, Zach Spoelstra, Bickford and Autumn Turner round out the top five.

Up next was the Bussanmas Heating & Cooling Stock Figure 8 feature was up next and Rick Goldsberry and Wil Aldridge battled out for the race lead. Goldsberry took the race lead but the caution came out on lap three. Goldsberry held off Aldridge and Brock Bush again on the restart. It would be all Goldsberry despite several attempts by Aldridge to take the lead away, "The Goose" takes the win. Aldridge finished second, Bush was third, Chris Mitchell was fourth and Zach Danner was fifth.

Lawrence Hagen led the first 4 laps of the Hawkeyes Auto Salvage Hobby Stocks feature event before Damian Hagen took over the race lead. Damian Hagen led until the caution came out on lap six for debris from Jason Collin's car in turn one. On the restart, Damian Hagen was caught sleeping when the race went back green as Travis Fenton took over the race lead. Fenton went on to take the feature win and dating back to last season, he has won the last 4 races at Warren County Speedway, last night he didn't win was June 26th, 2021. Damian Hagen finished runner-up, fourth place starter John Alexander came home third and eleventh place starter Mike Eddinger was fifth.

Final feature of the night was the Open Figure 8 class presented by Williams Machine Shop. David Burnell wrestled the lead early away from fellow front starter Casey McKasson. The only race caution came out on lap seven when Ryan Petersen spun turn three. Burnell went on to take the feature win ahead of McKasson, Jake Nehring, Andrew Hugeback and Lucas Anderson.

I hope in the end of the night Promoter Brandan Long was able to take a breathe because every time I saw him come by me on Saturday Night, he was very stressed and worry about how the night was going. There is always going to be hiccups long the way but it was great night. So please thank Brandan for taking on a big task to keep racing alive at Warren County Speedway.

Thornton Doubles Down at the 2022 Season Preview Special in Motown

After the Annual 141 Speedway / Left Turn Lounge Frostbuster was cancelled last week, the Karl Auto Group of Marshalltown Speedway looked to open up the 2022 season with the King of the Highbanks $5,000 to win Stock Car Special but once again Mother Nature would win.

The early week rain forced track officials to make a decision early since their was a scheduled practice on Wednesday, Racing on Thursday and Friday after discussion it was decided to postponed the King of the Highbanks to a later date TBA. However the race track then decided it would put a 2022 Season Preview Special together for Friday Night to make up for the postponed race.

One Hundred Thirty One cars checked in to tame the high banked quarter mile for the first time this season on a very chilly spring night under a full moon. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars were each $1,000 to win and All-Star Qualifiers (Fast Shafts and B&B Chassis). IMCA Sport Mods and IMCA Hobby Stocks were $400 to win meanwhile the IMCA Mod Lites and IMCA Sport Compacts were $250 to win.

First feature of the night was the IMCA Mod Lites 15 lap feature, only five of the six cars made the call. Darrick Knutsen grabbed the early race lead fending off Joel Huggins and Dustin Ford early. Huggins took the race lead away on lap seven and Randy Bryan followed suit into second when appeared Knutsen was beginning to have some mechanical issues. On lap ten, that became true because Knutsen would blow up down the front stretch leaving debris in turn one, forcing the caution to come out. Huggins held off Bryan and Ford to take the feature win, his first night out since June of last year. Bryan, Ford and Joe Wood finished second through fourth.

Big 8 Tyre Center IMCA Northern Sport Mods was up next for their 20 lap feature event. After 4 heats and b-feature dwindle the field of  28 down to 24, it was go time.  Jessiah Taylor jumped out the race lead fending off Wisconsin's Shay Woods and then holding off Arizona's Taylor Kuehl until the caution came out on lap 6 when Colton Livezey and Izac Mallicoat got together in turn one and two. Taylor spun in turn one after being scored the leader on lap seven causing a pile up in turn one. Tyler Soppe inherited the lead when Kuehl exited the track. Soppee held off Kyle Olson and then Dylan VanWyk until a pair of cautions on lap 12. VanWyk went on to take the feature win ahead of Soppe, Kyle Olson, Tony Olson and Jenae Gustin.

Minnesota's Blake Luinenburg wrestled the early lead in the IMCA Hobby Stocks 20 lap feature. Austin Mehmen followed him into second. Luinenburg was only slowed by the cautions on lap six, ten and fifteen. Luinenburg took the win, John Watson finished second. Luke Schluetter was third, Solomon Bennett was fourth and Joren Fisher was fifth.

The Class Too Tough Too Tame, IMCA Stock Cars presented by Drury Automotive and Truck Repair 20 lap feature was next on to the speedway. Jeff Larson and Michael Jaennette battled it out for the race lead with Larson leading the first lap. Jaennette made contact with Larson on lap two in turn four forcing the caution to come out, Larson too the tail and then Jaennette black flagged. Buck Schafroth was in the right position as he came across the line in the lead. The caution came out again on lap three. Schafroth led until lap 11 when Dusty Vis took over the top spot, Dylan Thornton worked his way until second on lap 12. Vis fended off Thornton until two laps to go when Thornton edged out Vis at the line with one to go. They had a fantastic battle to the checkered flag with Thornton winning by .019 seconds over Vis. Seventeenth place starter Dallon Murty came across in third, Damon Murty was fourth and twenty-third place starter Jay Schmidt was fifth.

RJ Esqueda wrestled the race lead away from fellow front row starter Ashton Blain in the IMCA Sport Compacts 15 lap feature event. Esqueda led until the caution came out on lap seven for Kolby Sabin and Mason Geigel getting together on the front stretch. Cristian Grady took the lead away on the restart but Esqueda would not go away. The caution came out again on lap 12 when oil was all over the race track in turn two forcing the field to spin out. Grady held off Blake Driscol to take the feature win. Driscol, Esqueda, Blain and Fiebelkorn rounded out the top five.

Final feature of the night was the Tire Demon by Love Tap IMCA Modifieds 20 lap feature. After having the initial start called back, Dylan Thornton grabbed the early lead but the caution came out for the only time during the race on lap two for Rob Charapata in turn four. Thornton got a great restart and pulled away with only lap traffic slowing him down, Austen Becerra inched closer because of the lap traffic but came up short as Thornton took the win. Becerra, Tim Ward, Drew Janssen and Tom Berry Jr finished second through fifth respectively.

Whitt Claims First Career Win at Frostbuster in Stuart

Sunday the decision was made to head to the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway for the Frostbuster event. The temperature a little warmer than Saturday's races in Boone but the very stiff wind left track crews on their toes. Promoter Mike Van Genderen was not sure all the frost came up out of the racing surface so to prevent any ruts, they waited to put water on the track until closer to noon. There was very beautiful sunny skies but the wind was very strong.

Van Genderen stayed ahead of the racing surface and appeared to work as there was fantastic two, three and at times four wide racing through out the night. MVG always does an amazing job with keeping a program moving and making sure everybody has the best racing surface to race on and that showed once again on Sunday.

One Hundred thirty six cars signed into tame the quarter mile bull ring on the Northwest side of Stuart. IMCA Northern Sport Mods had 37 entries, IMCA Stock Cars had 25 entries, IMCA Modifieds 19 entries and 18 IMCA Hobby Stocks. IMCA Sport Compacts saw 14 entries and the Outlaw Mini Mods ran for extra money as they had 23 entries. Hot Laps took place at 4:30pm, Racing followed and the final checkered flag was displayed at 9:25pm.

First feature of the night was the Outlaw Mini Mods feature event, originally scheduled for 15 laps but after a seven car pile up on the first lap in turn one and two, the race was shorten down to 12 laps. On the following restart, eleven year old Kaden Rice went for a tumble in turn one, he climbed from his race car uninjured. The feature saw three more cautions bring the total to five during the feature. Lucas Daniels lead all twelve laps and held off a late race charge from Kamdyn Haggard to take the win. Garrett Seals, TJ Findlow and Zackary Schaefer rounded out the top five.

In the Karl Pre-Owned (Spangler Automotive) IMCA Northern Sport Mods feature event and it went twenty laps caution free with some great two, three and four wide racing action. Jace Whitt from Hamilton, Missouri started fourth but by the time lap one was scored he was in the top spot. Whitt held off Logan Anderson and Minnesota's Tim Bergerson to take his first career feature win. Anderson settled for second, Bergerson was third and twelfth place starter Brayton Carter came home fourth. Jake Sachau held off Boone's Frostbuster winner Taylor Kuehl for fifth.

Trenton, Missouri's Brad Whitney and Iowa's Johnathon Logue led the field to the green flag in the Affordable Quality Roofing Exteriors IMCA Stock Cars 25 lap feature event. Logue driving a car for Todd & Traci Van Eaton grabbed the early race lead but it was only a matter of time before a pair of ninety-nine cars would challenge for the race lead. It did not take Damon Murty long as he took the race lead away on lap three using the high side and opened a big lead but then cautions came out . A caution came out on lap 14 for Scott Bailey in turn three. Two more cautions came out, Lap 18 when Rowdee Van Genderen was spun by Bryan Snell in turn four and then again on lap 19 when Scott Davis slow in front of the field. Damon Murty knew that his son Dallon Murty, started in ninth place, was on his back side on the restart and it was going to be exciting final six laps. The Murtys battled it out with Damon Murty taking the feature win by .007 seconds over his son Dallon. Troy Jerovetz, Logue and tenth place starter Buck Schafroth finished third through fifth.

Michael Hotze led the first two laps for the John's Tree Service IMCA Sport Compacts 15 lap feature event. Beatrice, Nebraska's Kaden Murray started first but slipped back to third before working his way back to take over the race lead on lap three. Murray led the final 13 laps in the feature after getting by Hotze but then had to hold off Kolby Sabin late to take the feature win. Sabin was second, Mitchell Bunch was third, Hotze was fourth and Tyler Fiebelkorn was fifth.

VIP Contractors and Karl Chevrolet of Stuart IMCA Modifieds 25 lap feature event was up next and Quitman, Arkansas's Brint Hartwick grabbed the early race lead fending off Drew Janssen off until the caution on lap two when Doug Smith spun on the front stretch hitting the front stretch wall. Hartwick held of Janssen again on the restart meanwhile Tom Berry Jr., was working his way from tenth place starting spot. Berry took the lead away on lap 13 and appeared to be heading on to the easy win but as Berry was taking the white flag, Spencer Hartwick slowed to a stop on the front stretch causing a green-white-checkered finish. Berry held of Brint Hartwick and Cayden Carter off on the restart to take win. Carter got by Brint Hartwick for second putting Hartwick in third. Saturday's winner Tim Ward was fourth and Janssen was fifth.

Final feature of the night was Rick's Towing IMCA Hobby Stocks 20 lap feature event. Fourth place starter Dylan Nelson powered his way to the race lead early with Skylar Pruitt running in second but the caution came out three times on lap three and four. Nelson was not to be denied as he fend off the challenges on the restart, only to see another caution come out on lap nine. Nelson held off Luke Ramsey to take the feature win. Ramsey, Brandon Cox, Solomon Bennett and Pruitt rounded out the top five.

Ward, Murty, Kuehl and Smith Claim Chilly Frostbuster Wins in Boone

After the Frostbusters at the Benton County Speedway in Vinton on Wednesday, Independence Motor Speedway on Thursday and Marshalltown Speedway on Friday, all fell victim to Mother Nature and the early April weather. It was cold and rainy to start the week forcing all three to cancel their Annual Frostbuster events.

Saturday Night, that did not stop Iowa's Action Track the Boone Speedway from opening their 2022 season with the IMCA Frostbuster presented by IMCA.tv. It was a little chilly but that is expected this time of the year, drivers and fans however were all itching to get some racing action.

One Hundred and Ninety cars checked in to tame the 1/3 mile dirt oval including 56 IMCA Northern Sport Mods, 48 IMCA Stock Cars, 43 IMCA Modifieds and 43 IMCA Hobby Stocks. Racing action wrapped up at 10:30pm.

First feature of the night was the Elmquist Towing IMCA Northern Sport Mods 25 lap feature event. After six heats and 3 b-features dwindled the 56 cars down to twenty-four. It was go time however before a lap was scored Logan Anderson, Kaylin Lopez, Shane Paris, Jeremiah Reed and Kenny Wyman Jr all got together in turn one. Taylor Kuehl from Cave Creek, Arizona, recently returned to Iowa for the year wasted little time grabbing the lead from the pole position. Kuehl held off Dustin White and then Wisconsin's Timothy Warner until the caution came out again on lap five when Tony Olson spun in turn one.

Kuehl was Cool and calm out front and not even the cautions on laps eight and ten or challenges from Warner was going to faze the 21 year old racer from claim the Frostbuster win. Warner settled for the runner-up spot. Dylan VanWyk was the hard charger, moving up 18 spots from twenty-first to finish third. Kenny Wyman Jr bounced back after an early race mishap to finish fourth and eighteenth place starter Dusty Masolini came home fifth.

Once the field of forty-three DE Outdoor Services IMCA Modifieds was dwindled down to twenty-four after 6 heats and 2 b-features, time for the 25 lap feature. The 2021 IMCA National Champion Jeff "Bones" Larson from Freeport, Illinois wrestled the early race lead from pole sitter Joel Bushore. Tim Ward worked his way into second on lap three and then set his sights on getting by Larson. Ward grabbed the top spot away on lap 11 just prior to the only race caution for Jeff Reay in turn two. Ward got a great restart and motored away to take the Frostbuster feature win. Jeremy Mills got by Larson for second, Larson finished third. Minnesota's Devin Fouquette finished fourth and "The Bobcat" Johnathon Logue, making his rookie debut, came home fifth.

Up next was the Arnold Motor Supply IMCA Stock Cars 25 lap feature again after the field of forty-eight was dwindled down to twenty-four, time to go green. Before a lap was completely scored the caution came out for Bryan Snell spinning in turn two. Todd Reitzler led the first ten laps when the race got rolling holding off Eric Mahlik, David Smith and Troy Jerovetz. A slight miscue by Reitzler allowed Jerovetz to take the race lead away on lap 11. Dallon Murty and Damon Murty followed dropping Reitzler to fourth. A shootout between son and father as the Murtys lead the way. Dallon Murty hung on to take the win ahead of Damon Murty, Jerovetz, Reitzler and David Smith. Dallon wins mean he has won the last two Stock Car feature at Boone having won the 2021 IMCA Super Nationals Championship.

Final feature of the night was the 25 lap Pickett Salvage IMCA Hobby Stock Frostbuster feature. Forty-three drivers saw their field get dwindled down to twenty-four. The caution came out before a lap was completed when Trevor Tanner spun in turn two. Curt Reed led the first lap after the restart but Solomon Bennett took the lead away on lap two. Shortly after the caution came out again, this time for debris in turn three. That allowed young racer Mike Smith to take over the race lead and he would leave off right where he left off 2021 at Super Nationals by claiming the Frostbuster win. Bennett chased Smith the rest of the way and came across the runner-up position. Reed, Eric Stanton and Nathan Ballard round out the top five.
