Today I headed to the Iowa Speedway for the NASCAR CAMPING WORLD East/West Challenge Race where Richard "The King" Petty was on hand as the grand marshal and also brought nascar driver kyle busch to come have fun!
Early on in the day Kyle Busch came to the speedway and set the track qualifying record for the east/west series race by knocking of the previous record set by Kevin Harvick, then there was a pre-race concert with jason brown and on stage interview with the king richard petty.
The rain came delaying the race start about and hour and a half but when they got go Kyle Busch showed them who was better as even though he went back to mid pack after a round of pit stops he quickly got back to the front and went on to win the Long John Silvers 200 presented by A&W Root Beer. Kyle used this race as a test for the nationwide and truck series races that he may race in!
A good run for Iowa Native Brett Moffitt, a kid that truely has a lot of talent. keep up the good work!
I will try to post pictures to photobucket and put the link up!
