Oskaloosa, Iowa (May 7th, 2014) – Sunny and 80 degrees welcome everybody on Wednesday Night at the Southern Iowa Speedway after being rained out the last two weeks. There was some amazing two and three wide racing all night long on Van Wall Equipment, Bank Iowa and Vital Men Ministries Night. At Intermission, Both fans and drivers were given the opportunity to win free admission into next weeks races. Nathan Wood and Brett Lowry earned a free pit pass.
First feature of the night was the IMCA Sport Compacts feature was Bill Whalen Jr jumping to the early lead and never looking back as he went on to take the win. Whalen dedicated the win to defending track champion Merv Chandler. Trent Orwig ran second the entire race with Matt Moore in third, Nicholas Vanhamert in fourth and Matt Beal in fifth.
Next was the Budweiser IMCA Stock Car 18 lap feature event. It was Corey Stout from across the street grabbing the early lead but it was not easy as Todd Reitzler and Donnie Pearson was knocking on the back side. Around the midway point of the race, Stout and Reitzler was joined by Brad Pinkerton and Nathan Wood. Pinkerton grabbed second away and began to battle with Stout through the remaining laps and then Todd Reitzler made it a three car battle for the last two laps but it was Stout holding on and taking the win over Pinkerton, Reitzler, Wood and Nunnikhoven.

McDaniel got back by Carter to finish second. Lowry was fourth and Ryan Fullenkamp was fifth.
In the Pepsi Cola IMCA Hobby Stocks feature, it was Brad Stephens taking the top spot but behind was the battle that included several drivers. Stephens continued to lead when the caution came ou on lap 11. Dustin Griffiths grabbed the lead away on the restart, only to see the caution come out a few more times, one which forced a green-white-checkered. Griffiths held on to take the win over Danny Thrasher, Nick Ulin, Bill Bonnett and Travis Bunnell.
The Initial start in the Musco Lighting IMCA Modifieds feature was called off. When the race got going it was Andrew Schroeder taking control. Schroeder lead until the caution came out on lap eight when Jesse Sobbing experienced troubles. Cayden Carter took the lead away on the restart only to see the caution come out for the final time on lap 11. Carter however had to contend with Todd Shute and it was Shute grabbing the lead away on lap 14. Shute lead the remaining laps to take his second win in as many points nights at SIS.
