$5,000 POSSIBLE FOR ONE LATE MODEL RACER TUESDAY AT MARSHALLTOWN


Marshalltown, IA (May 31, 2015) – All eyes are focused on the famed Marshalltown Speedway for the annual running of the Miller Lite 50 on Tuesday, June 2nd. The event is once again brought to fans by H & F Distributing and will feature four divisions. The Deery Brothers IMCA Late Models, IMCA SportMods, INEX Legends, and Mod Lites will all be in competition. The Miller Lite 50 pays $3,000 to win with bonuses up for grabs courtesy of Rumours Bar and Grill and Carnected Auto. The highest finishing driver in the 50 lapper that raced for Rumours owner and former promoter Steve Priske will be awarded a $500 bonus. If one of the drivers that raced at Marshalltown for Steve from 1985 – 1989 is able to win, they will receive an additional $500. Carnected Auto located at 2001 South Center Street in Marshalltown will also be awarding $500 to the Miller Lite 50 winner. In addition to this, Rumours will be sponsoring an Australian Pursuit for the Late Models with $500 to win on the line. Last year, Jeff Aikey of Cedar Falls was able to capitalize on the Rumours and H & F bonuses and walk away with $4,000. The IMCA SportMods will be racing for a top prize of $1,000 and will count towards State, Regional, and National points. The Racing for a Cause INEX Legends will be battling for a $1,000 winners check on Tuesday night. They will also be raising funds and awareness for the C.O.P.S. Foundation. The Mod Lites will round out the card as part of their Stars Series racing for $300 to win. For fans unable to attend, the event will be broadcast live on Speed Shift TV. Pit gates will open at 4:30, grandstands at 5:00, with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. and racing to follow.
