Mother Nature Wins Again in Motown, Twin Bill Memorial Race on July 11th

Thursday Night the plan was to head to the Marshalltown Speedway for 2nd Annual Dale DeFrance Memorial but once again mother nature won and forced all parties to find a rescheduled date. As heat races were racing on the track a Severe Thunderstorm Warning came out for Marshall County and the decision was initial to wait it out but as soon as the rain came it dumped 2+" of rain leaving the infield underway forced them to cancel both Thursday and Friday Night.

Friday Afternoon the Marshalltown Speedway and DeFrance Family announced that the rescheduled date will now by Thursday July 11th during the Central Iowa Fair with DeFrance Memorial for the IMCA Late Models and Bill Davis Memorial for the IMCA Modifieds.

Update on the May 16th rain out policy. If you bought a Grandstand ticket, it is worth the same value at any Friday night show. If you have a $30.00 pit pass, it is good for any Friday night show, and you will be reimbursed the $5.00. Your ticket stubs and pit passes from May 16th will be good for the rescheduled event on Thursday July 11th.

Racing will resume at the Marshalltown Speedway next Friday Night for Midwest Liquid Systems Night with IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Mod Lites. Hot Laps at 6:55p and Racing at 7:30p.
