Saturday Night made my first visit to the Boone Speedway in two months and Sunday was back to Stuart International Speedway for some great racing action which featured the late models.
At Boone, feature winners was Josh May (Mod Lites), Jake McBirnie (IMCA Northern SportMods), Eric Stanton (IMCA Hobby Stocks), Devon Havlik (IMCA Modifieds) and Rod Richards (IMCA Modifieds).
Justin Rankin grabbed the lead early in the Mod Lites but it was Cory Sauerman taking the lead away on lap three. Sauerman's lead was short lived because Josh May took the lead away on lap five when Sauerman experienced mechanical issues. May went on to take the win ahead of Cory Dennis, Charlie Brown, Joe Glick and Travis Stensland
Cory Pestonik led the first five laps of the 18 lap IMCA Northern SportMods feature before Chad Ryerson took the lead away. Ryerson looked to be heading on to take his third win in the last month but it was Jake McBirnie taking the lead away on lap 14. McBirnie went on to extend his points lead by taking the checkers first. Ryerson, Johnathan Logue, Pestonik and Doug Smith round out the top five.
A Pair of cautions early did not damper Bryan Keeney's parade as he was out front leading. However by lap four, Cody Gustoff and Eric Stanton was in tow. Stanton ended up taking the lead on lap five and going on to add on to his points lead. Gustoff held off Matt McDonald, John Watson and Tim Barber for second.
Eric Elliott led the opening lap in the IMCA Modifieds feature but Devon Havlik took the lead away on lap two. Havlik and Elliott contiuned to battle it out for the lead with Elliott edging out Havlik on laps nine and ten. Havlik took the lead back on laps 11 but Elliott did not give up. On Lap 16, Elliott and Mike Van Genderen got together in turn two forcing the caution to come out. Havlik took the win over Jimmy Gustin, borrowing John Logue's car after his car experienced issues after the heat race. Matthew Meinecke , Joel Bushore and Scott Davis finished third through fifth respectively.
Final feature of the night at Boone was The IMCA Stock Cars 18 lap event. Larry Crocheck led lap one but "Hot" Rod Richards took the lead away on lap two and never looked back. Cory Bushnell, Trent Murphy, Jay Schmidt and Wayne Gifford finish second through fifth.

Sunday Night it was off to Stuart and it appeared Mother Nature wanted to make her presence but the Storms missed the race track and we were racing.
Before a lap was completed in the IMCA Northern SportMods the caution came out for Kody Havens coming to a stop on the back-stretch. Austin Luellen jumped out to the lead on the restart but the caution came out again on lap four for Colton Nelson in turn two. Luellen led from start-to-finish to take his first career SportMod win over Brother Clint Luellen, Dusty Masolini, Arie Schouten and Chase Rudolf.
Driver known as "Cupcake" Jacob Reiter grabbed the lead an never let off the trottle until the checkered was displayed in the IMCA Sport Compacts feature. Curtis Miller and Ralph Bunce rounded out the top five.
Terry Pruitt, a veteran at Stuart led the opening lap in the IMCA Stock Cars feature event. Bryan Snell took the lead away just before the caution came out on lap two. On the restart, Brian Blessington took the top spot away and never looked back. Terrty Pruitt finished second, Clay Mercer was third, Josh Daniels was fourth and Marcus Fagan was fifth.
Rookie Keith Burg led lap one in the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature but Shannon Anderson took the top spot away on lap two. Anderson took the win ahead of Buck Schafroth, Jamie Schirm, John Watson and Austin Luellen.
The IMCA Modifieds 20 lap feature was full of excitement and it was Scott Bash leading lap one but Matt Webb took the top spot away on lap two. Webb led until Jeff James worked his way around to take the lead away on lap six. James continued to lead but on lap 17, James saw Nick Roberts edge him out for the lead. James was not going to let Roberts win because he took the lead back on 18 and went on to take the win. Roberts finished second, Webb was third, Josh Gilman and Todd Van Eaton was fourth and fifth respectively.
Final feature of the night at Stuart was the IMCA Late Models 20 lap feature and it was Paul Conrad grabbing the early lead. Conrad saw Todd Cooney make his way through the field to take the lead away on lap nine. Cooney went on to take the win over John Emerson, Curt Schroeder, Conrad and Allen Zeitner.
