Shute, Masters, Carter and Cox Took Midwest Madness Tour Ron Little Memorial Wins

Finally I was able to go on Tour with the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour presented by Western Iowa Racing Results as they made the trip to 1/4 mile bullring Stuart International Speedway for Night six of seven. Thursday Night was also the 21st Annual Ron Little Memorial sponsored by Ganoe Excavating, John's Tree Service, VIP Contractors, Rick's Towing & Transport, Big Load Trailers Sales, Interstate Power Systems, Karl Chevrolet of Stuart, Spangler Automotive, Pole Position Raceway and Ag Hub Midwest.

One Hundred seventy cars signed in for the Ron Little Memorial setting a new track record as cars will parked all over the facility. The racing was fantastic with multiple lanes through out the night. Nathan Kilwine, Kolby Sabin, Jake Masters, Brandon Cox, Todd Shute and Brayton Carter all took feature wins on Thursday.

First feature of the night was the Outlaw Mini Mods 12 lap feature event. Kamdyn Haggard jumped out to the early lead but Matt Prehn took the lead away on lap three. Shortly after the first caution came out when Cody Housby came to stop on the back stretch and also for debris on back stretch. Prehn knew Logan Brown and Nathan Kilwine was coming and on lap nine, Kilwine took over the top spot. The caution came out just after the completion of lap nine when Blaine Dannen spun in turn two. As the field came back to the green flag, Luke Daniels experienced issues, slowed on the front stretch. Matt Grobe had no where to go made contact with Luke Daniels before ending up on his side resulted in the red flag. Kilwine held off the challenge from Brown on the restart to take the checkers. Brown finished second, Matt Prehn was third, Dan Kline was fourth and Chase Daniels finished fifth.

Cody Piece led the first lap of the John's Tree Service IMCA Sport Compacts 14 lap feature event before Tyler Fiebelkorn took the top spot on lap two. Fiebelkorn and the field saw the caution come out on lap four for debris and for Rusty Gyles in turn two. Fiebelkorn led until Kolby Sabin worked his way from the ninth starting spot to take the lead away. Sabin held off Fiebelkorn, Chris Vannausdle, Bryan Vannausdle and Hunter Patrick to claim the win. Fiebelkorn finished in the runner-up spot. Bryan Vannausdle, Hunter Patrick and Mark Smith rounded out the top five.

Up next was the "Class Too Tough Too Tame" B&B Chassis IMCA Stock Cars presented by Affordable Quality Roofing & Exteriors for 30 laps. Master of the Class Jake Masters started on the pull and took full advantage by jumping out the early race lead with Josh Daniels running second. Masters got a little seperation but Daniels began to find a faster line and chase Masters down just before teh caution came out on lap 16. The caution on lap sixteen came out for Brenton Palmer after he slapped the wall in turn one.  Dusty Van Horn grabbed the lead on lap 17 but Masters took back the race lead on lap 22. Masters held to off challenges from Van Horn and Dallon Murty but the caution came out on lap 29 when Buck Schafroth stopped in turn three. This forced a green-white-checkered finish, Masters held off a slider by Dallon Murty to take the win, his second win during the Midwest Madness Tour. Tenth place starter Dallon Murty was second, Van Horn was third, eleventh place starter Elijah Zevenbergen was fourth and Damon Murty was fifth.

Before a single lap was completed in the Culver's of Carroll IMCA Hobby Stocks presented by Pitt's Lawn Service and Rick's Towing 16 lap feature event, there was a caution. The caution was for Kevin Bruck as he went over the turn 2 wall or as Track Announcer Tony Paris said, he left the ball park. Bruck would return to the race track. Brandon Cox led the first lap before Chuck Madden took the lead away on lap two. Madden worked the top side meanwhile Cox was working the bottom side of the speedway and lap traffic beginning to get heavy. Cox took advantage of the lap traffic taking oer the race lead on lap 11. Cox went on to take the victory ahead of Madden, Braden Richards, twelfth place starter Solomon Bennett and tenth place starter Jason Fusselman.

Todd Shute and Cory Sauerman led the field to the green in the Monster Graphix IMCA Modifieds presented by VIP Contractors and Karl Chevrolet of Stuart 35 lap feature event. However before a lap was scored the caution came out when Tom Berry Jr spun in turn one and two. When the race got going it was Todd Shute, nicknamed "Toddzilla"jumping out front but just after the completion of lap one, the caution came out. This time for Josh Gilman in turn four. Shute got a great restart and began to pull away, Nick Roberts was running second until the caution came out on lap nine when Cory Sauerman slapped the wall in turn two, Jacob Murray had no where to go and made slight contact. Shute pulled away and appeared to be heading on the the easy win but the caution came out again on lap 29.  Dylan Thornton created some sparklers and snakes when he rode the wall in turn one and two bring out the caution. Shute got a great restart and went on to take another Ron Little Memorial victory ahead of Cayden Carter. Tom Berry came back to finish third, Jeff Aikey was fourth and Nick Roberts was fifth.

Final feature of the night was Razor Chassis IMCA Sport Mods presented by Spangler Automotive 20 lap feature. Josh Sink and Cam Reimers battled it out for the race lead early with Sink leading the first two laps before a caution came out. Ryan Leeman, Corey Madden and Bryan Morris got together in turn three to bring out the caution. On the restart, the caution came out for Logan Anderson in turn one.  Sink held off Reimers early but Reimers took the race lead on lap eight. Sink got back by but Reimers did not go away. Reimers grabbed the race lead on lap 13 and a lap later the caution came out for Tommy Hensley in turn two. Reimers led until lap 16 when Brayton Carter took the top spot away. Carter held off twelfth place starter Josh Most on the last lap to take the win. Reimers fell back to third, tenth place starter Cody Thompson was fourth and Brian Osantowski was fifth.

Racing action wrapped up when the final checkered flag was displayed by Flagman Jamie Schirm at 11:43pm. Track Promoter Mike Van Genderen, Tour Promoters Tim Skaren and Rodney Olson did a fantastic job. Along with all their other fantastic crew that help put the race on and last night. It was agreat way to remember Ron Little, who we lost too soon in the May of 1999.
