The Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel at the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart Speedway has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions that left the pit area unsuitable for use. Speedway officials made every effort to prepare the facility and keep the program on schedule; however an Unlikely Pair - Mother Nature and a Turtle - had other plans. As a result, Karl Chevrolet of Stuart Speedway officials have rescheduled the Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel to Wednesday, April 29th.

Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel now has to wait, but IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, and IMCA Sport Mods all have $1,000 to win, IMCA Hobby Stocks $500 to win, and IMCA Sport Compacts $250 to win. Outlaw Mini Mods and Crown Vics will be on the card, now on April 29th. Fans and participants are encouraged to monitor official communications for any further updates and to plan accordingly for the revised event date.

The next race at the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart Speedway is this Sunday, April 19th, when the Malvern Bank ASCS Midwest Region presented by Hoosier 360 Sprints and Mohrfeld Electric Sprint Invaders begin their season with a $2,000 to win co-sanctioned event. Also competing are IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and IMCA Sport Compacts. Grandstands are $20 for adults, kids (11-17) are $10, and children (10 & under) are FREE. Pits are $35 for ages 14+, children (6-13) $20, and 5 & under FREE. Gates open at 3p, hot laps at 5:30p, and racing to follow.

Promoter Mike Van Genderen has announced several schedule updates across his slate of events this week. Most notably, the “Revving It Up” program at Hwy 39 Speedway in Denison, originally set for Friday, April 17, has been canceled due to forecasted thunderstorms in the area.

Attention now shifts to Saturday’s Wyffels Hybrid Season Opener at Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, which remains on schedule at this time. The event will feature a full racing program, including Pro Late Models ($1,000 to win), IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars ($750 to win each), IMCA Sport Mods ($450 to win), IMCA Hobby Stocks ($350 to win), along with IMCA Sport Compacts and Crown Vics ($250 to win). Hot laps are set for 6:00 p.m., with racing to follow. In the event of a weather-related postponement, officials have outlined a contingency plan to move the program to Tuesday, April 21, as the Wyffels Hybrid Super Tuesday, with all classes competing except the Pro Late Models.

Looking ahead, World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DirtVision will headline the Independence Late Model Showdown at Independence Motor Speedway on Tuesday, April 28. Presented by Scott Webb Concrete, the marquee event will offer a $12,000 top prize. The program will also feature support divisions including the Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Tour, IMCA Modifieds, and IMCA Stock Cars, rounding out a highly anticipated night of competition.

The spotlight will also turn to Scotland County Speedway in Memphis as the facility roars back to life for a major two-night event. The United States Modified Touring Series presented by RacinDirt will headline the 12th Annual Mid-America Nationals alongside the inaugural Jon Fuller Memorial Race on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25. Each night will feature a $5,000-to-win main event for the USMTS competitors, drawing top Modified talent from across the region.

A strong supporting lineup is set to complement the weekend program, including the USRA Iron Man Stock Car Series presented by Terminator Chassis, the USRA Iron Man B-Mod Series presented by Harris Auto Racing, and USRA Hobby Stocks competing both nights. The combination of premier touring Modifieds and competitive support divisions is expected to deliver an action-packed weekend for fans and teams alike.

Fans planning to attend should note the weekend schedule, with Friday’s program featuring pit gates opening at 3:00 p.m., grandstands at 5:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7:15 p.m. Saturday’s schedule begins earlier, with pits opening at 2:00 p.m., grandstands at 4:00 p.m., hot laps at 5:30 p.m., and racing at 6:15 p.m. For additional event details and updates, fans are encouraged to follow the official USMTS and Scotland County Speedway social media channels or visit the series website. Reminder the USMTS has a new website at USMTS-Racing.com.

Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway's next scheduled event is on Friday, May 22nd, with the Spilman Auto Parts SLMR Late Model Special featuring the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series. IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, and IMCA Hobby Stocks also race that night. Keep your eyes peeled on the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway Facebook page.

The cancellation of Stuart Speedway came just as I was about ready to roll out and head that way; so far my luck this year and racing are like my Chicago Cubs playing baseball. The next scheduled race for me is on Friday night at Marshalltown Speedway; as for this weekend, I'm not sure yet. I guess we will see what Mother Nature allows.
