Marshalltown, Iowa (June 27th, 2014) – Mother Nature decided to rain out the races for tonight at the Marshalltown Speedway on Shawn's Custom Hay Grinding Night which now gives track officials time to get ready for the 50th Anniversary Celebration next week at the Speedway.
Marshalltown Speedway celebrates the Golden Anniversary next Friday Night July 4th. Their will be a free luncheon from noon until 1:00 and fans are invited to bring out old photos, memorabilia, and stories to share. All retired past champions and their families are invited to watch for free. The grandstand admission will only be $5.00 for adults and children 11 and under are admitted for free on this special occasion. Their will be a huge fireworks display to follow the racing action at 9:45pm. All start times are moved up 15 minutes so the first green flag in the heat races will be at 7:15pm.

Following Friday Night July 11th it will be Casey's General Stores and Racers Against ALS Night at the Central Iowa Fair. Kids are invited to bring their bikes out and ride the quarter mile at intermission.
