ast Week, Mother Nature cooperated to allow us to get two of the four IMCA Frostbusters at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson and Benton County Speedway in Vinton. Marshalltown and Boone Speedway's Frostbusters fell victim to Mother Nature and her Spring Craziness.
Kelly Shryock won the IMCA Modifieds at Lee County with Hunter Marriott finishing 2nd. At Benton County Speedway, Shryock finished 8th meanwhile Marriott finished 2nd after he was passed on the last lap by Cayden Carter. Marriott (two 2nd place finishes) and Carter (3rd & 1st place finishes) would end up being tied in the Frostbuster points after Vinton with the unofficial champion being Carter because of the win in Vinton.
Todd Reitzler picked up the IMCA Stock Car win in Donnellson with Damon Murty finishing runner-up. Murty dominated at Benton County Speedway taking the win, Reitzler finished 2nd in Vinton. With Reitzler and Murty, each finishing 1st and 2nd place, they ended up tied in the Frostbuster Points.

On Monday April 16th, the Hancock County Speedway announced their Frostbuster scheduled for Friday April 20th has fallen victim to Mother Nature again and their fingers are crossed that racing action will get underaway next week on Friday April 27th but expected to get more Spring Snow on Wednesday this week.
Finally a race I want to give a shout out is the Brooklyn Raceway Spring Nationals which is being dubbed the Inaugural Sharon Jaennette Memorial. This past January, Sharon Jaennette
passed away and her favorite track was the Brooklyn Raceway. She loved
spending time with family and watching them do something they had a passion
for and that being racing. So I ask if you are looking for some racing
to attend this weekend then head to the Brooklyn Raceway on Friday &
Saturday Night this week for the Sharon Jaennette Memorial Spring Nationals in support of the Jaennette Family.
Well I guess that is all for this week maybe next time there will be more to write about!
