Unfortunately Mother Nature was not nice to the Hancock County Speedway as she dropped more rain overnight Monday leaving the grounds to wet to get the track in shape to race on Tuesday Night for the MaxYield Cooperative Northern Sport Mod Nationals. That left speedway officials to make the quick decision to cancel for the night and look for a rescheduled date.
The rescheduled date will be next Tuesday June 25th. The winner of the House Motorsports IMCA Northern SportMods will take home $2,500 to win on June 25th. The special pays a minimum of $300 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and E3 Spark Plugs State Points will be awarded, but no track points will be awarded. Top finishers from each heat race advance to the $200 to win, $25 to start DeKalb/Asgrow Dash to determine their starting spots in the main event.
Also racing at Britt will be the IMCA Modifieds $500 to win (14 or less) / $600 to win (15 or more), Quick Performance IMCA Stock Cars $500 to win and MPM Marketing IMCA Hobby Stocks $300 to win (14 or less) / $350 to win (15 or more). National, Regional and State will also be awarded.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstands open at 6 p.m., hot laps at 7pm and racing to follow.
Spectator admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Kids 12 and under get in free. Pit passes are $30.
