Only 1 driver would not complete a lap infortunately for her that meant she wasn't going to make the race because she is one of the drivers that were go or go homers and that is former Sprint Car Driver from Fargo, North Dakota Natalie Sather. Sather would crash into the turn 2 wall but be okay.
When qualifying was all done it was NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Point Leader Timothy Peters taking the pole, Nelson Piquet Jr was 2nd, Justin Lofton was 3rd, James Buescher was 4th and Johnny Sauter qualified fifth.
At just a little after 7:30 pm the race was scheduled to begin and it would be Timothy Peters leading early but then the first race caution would fly on lap 6 when Brennan Newberry would find himself making contact with the turn 2 wall. On the restart, Peters would be passed by James Buescher. Buescher would lead until lap 42 when Peters would get back by and take the lead again.
Then the 2nd race caution would come out on lap 51 for the truck of Paulie Harraka getting in to the turn 2 wall. Peters would still continue to lead but it the caution would again fly on lap 63 when Jason Leffler would go for a spin cycle in turn 4 right in front of the field.
Shortly after this restart it would be Buescher taking the lead away from Peters but infortunately when lap 135 came around it was Buescher that would have a tire go down and launched his truck into the turn 2 wall forcing another caution to come out and that would give the lead back over to Peters.
Once the track was clear it was back to racing with Peters in the lead but then another race caution came out on lap 165 for Oil on the race track which resulted the truck of David Starr to get in the wall a little bit. On this restart, Peters would have to deal with Truck Series Veteran Ron Hornaday Jr.
Hornaday Jr. would take the lead over on lap 169 and appear would not look back then another race caution would come out on lap 176 for Todd Bodine and Ryan Sieg getting together. But on the restart it would be Hornaday getting a great restart, which a lot of the truck teams aren't afraid to admit on the radio that Hornaday is good on restarts, but Peters would stay there because another caution would come out on lap 183 when Dakoda Armstrong and Cale Gale would get together in turn 3 ending both of their nights.
On this restart it would Peters getting the great restart as Peters would lead the remaining 9 laps to take the win. Hornaday would finish 2nd, Teammates Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter was 3rd and 4th. Justin Lofton was 5th, Leffler back up to finish 6th, Teammates Ty Dillon and Joey Coulter was 7th and 8th, Nelson Piquet Jr. and Parker Kilgerman was 9th and 10th.
